Oxus Portable Oxygen Concentrator information:
The Oxus Portable Oxygen Concentrator is the new super quiet portable oxygen machine by Oxus. The Oxus Portable Oxygen Concentrator is intended to provide supplemental oxygen in a home, institutional, or travel environment.
This unit is lightweight, weighing less than 10lbs and will deliver up to 850 ml/min, even as breath rates climb to 30+ BPM. The Oxus POC holds the pulse size constant as your breath rate increases while other units decrease the amount of oxygen you get per breath as your breath rate increases. It has a rugged design built for travel, and operates upright or laying flat, allowing easy stowage under an airline seat.
The Oxus POC comes standard with 2 batteries, each of which will last over 3 hours on a setting of 2. The battery can be easily changed without removing the unit from the bag, allowing you to be out and about for over 6 hours. The unit is designed to give long life in high humidity environments of up to 95%, and can also be powered by either of the included external AC or DC (car adaptor) power supplies. The battery will charge in less than 3 hours on either AC or DC power supply, even while the unit is operating. The Oxus has an EXCLUSIVE rotary compressor that is high efficiency, quiet and designed to last.
The Oxus Portable Oxygen Concentrator is the only portable that can give you the combination of 850 mL/minute output, delivered in a fixed pulse mode, in a flexible package that can travel flat under an airline seat, or vertical on a cart, all at a quiet 43 dBA, and less than ten pounds.

Oxus Portable Oxygen Concentrator FAQs
How does the Oxus Portable Oxygen Concentrator work? The air we breathe contains 21% oxygen and 78% nitrogen. The Oxus POC purifies the air by removing most of the nitrogen. This is done by compressing the air through a zeolite sieve. The result is almost 100% oxygen. The Oxus POC has a built in conserver, so oxygen is delivered only when you inhale.
Can I use the Oxus Portable Oxygen Concentrator while sleeping?
The Oxus POC will work for you while sleeping, as long as you are able to trigger the breath detection system in the conserver. While the Oxus POC has one of the most sensitive breath detection systems, some people breathe too shallow while sleeping to trigger any portable oxygen concentrator. Despite what some people say, NO pulse mode portable oxygen concentrator is guaranteed to work at night for you. That is why Oxus recommends that you be titrated on the device overnight and get your doctor's approval prior to using it at night.
What is the difference between Fixed Minute Volume and Fixed Bolus methods of delivering oxygen?
Many portable oxygen concentrators deliver oxygen using a Fixed Minute Volume method. This means that you get a fixed amount of oxygen per minute, regardless of your breath rate. So, if your oxygen concentrator is delivering a fixed 300 mL/minute and you are breathing 15 breaths per minute, you will get 20 mL every breath. But, when you exert yourself and start breathing faster, at say 30 breaths per minute, you will only get 10 mL per breath. So, Fixed Minute Volume actually gives you less oxygen per breath, when you need it most. The solution is Oxus' Fixed Bolus delivery method. When you dial in a flow rate on our Portable Oxygen Concentrator, you will always get that flow rate regardless of your breath rate, up to the maximum output capability. So, if you set the device to a 20 mL bolus (about setting 2.5) while you are breathing 15 breaths per minute, you will still get 20 mL per breath when you increase your breath rate to 30 breaths per minute.
Why should a portable oxygen concentrator have an oxygen sensor?
Portable oxygen concentrators are complicated machines. Similar to a car, they contain a compressor, valves, electronics, hoses, etc. Oxus spent 5 years testing our product to make sure you won't have any problems. However, in the unlikely event that something does go wrong, we believe it is important to have an oxygen sensor that can detect if you aren't receiving the oxygen that you need.
Why is breath detect sensitivity so important?
A pulse mode portable oxygen concentrator can only provide oxygen when it is sensing your breathing. If the sensitivity isn't good enough, the machine will not consistently give you oxygen. The Oxus Portable Oxygen Concentrator has been measured by an independant third party as one of the most sensitive POCs available.
